Summary:

Hi Alex! if youre reading this, I'm sorry for lying to you, I didnt actually go to the gym, I looked out the balcony and the rain made me stay home. I did go to the store tho and bought myself a coke... So gluttonous I know, anyway, this month, I want to talk about some general feelings and thoughts ive been having, while also about showing you some new stuff I got for myself! 💖

FOMO

Fomo, the fear of regret is a feeling im sure most of us have met before. Why do I want to mention it in this blog update? Ive been witnessing it pretty often lately, not in myself, thankfully, but in others.

There was a Metallica concert in my country recently, and for some reason the tickets sold pretty much instantly, leaving a lot of actual fans "stranded" of tickets. What is actually pissing me off, is that a lot of atendees, while being there, ended up just recording the whole concert...

Thats the part that pisses me off a bit. I gotta agree, when someone pays a huge sum of money for something temporary, I understand why they would want to record said temporary thing, but like come on... Live in the moment! I dont know anyone in my life who went and didnt "deserve" to go, but I know people who really wanted to but didnt get tickets cuz they ran out in like the first ten minutes...

My mom, is an absolute massiva fan of Metallica, and didnt catch a ticket, she even stayed up hoping they would refresh the site... but no. Seems as bots and scammers got their greasy hands on them faster. Its really sad, there tens of people who didnt get to attend because their tickets were "fake", and by that I mean the ticket was sold online, and the seller went anyway, reedeming the tickeet invaluable... Really scummy.

I think tickets shouldve stayed phisical, digitalising them just adds this risk of scamming!

To be fair, this rannt didnt really have much connection to fomo, but i wanted to add that recording part somewhere, its really throwing me off!

New Monitor, the "golden" aspect ratio

Ever wondered why there are different aspect ratios out there? Me too! Each aspect ratio has its best use cases, but what is the best one? WELL I'm here to tell you its the 4:3 ratio!

Okay okay I'm lying, technically speaking, the best one is 16:9, for general use anyway. Here's why:

As you can see in the image, if we combine all popular aspect ratios, what do we get? 16:9, what does that mean, 16:9 is the best for general use. General, use.

I really wanted to explore more aspect ratios, see whats best fit for me, so i aquired a 4:3 monitor for pretty cheap, second hand about last week. My thought on it? awesome! I love pretty much anything about it. Stuff fits really neatly on it. If big tech would make a higher res 4:3 monitor, Id cop, bigger one too. Right now this one is 19 inches, and even with that, its enough! I game on it, write code on it, looking at documents on it looks great! Something that I do suprisingly pretty often now that finals are here soon... Wish me luck guys! One more blog update after this and we're there!

Making it in World of Warcraft

So, Ive been playing World of Warcraft for three or so months now, about 100-150 hours of game time. My experience? Depends on when you ask me.

Its a really great game, I understand why people love it so much, but its really hard to get into, confusing and unforgiving, the playerbase often unhelpful.

Do i reccomend it? Absolutely, please, try it! and make sure to play on a roleplay focused realm, specically on Argent Dawn. My mistake starting out was starting out on a "normal" server, and on a fresh server, with lots of new players. Thats a like, the new players are mostly all alt accounts.

I dont really play wow for what the majority of the people do. I play it for the world, the story, the random roleplaying and the socialisation. Most of the people play for the raids, which i gotta say theyre really fun, but finding the right people/guild to do it with, isnt easy, after all, my guild took me like, the entire three months to find!

But i love them! I got to make some great friends and love playing with them, doing keys, delves and raiding every friday!

Once I even took a hiatus from WoW, time in which i tried classic WoW, I like it a lot, but if i was complaining of the monotone playerbase in the retail game, then take my word for it, on classec there like noone born before the turn of the milleia... 😂

I was called "fresh meat" and "yound blood" more than I'd like to admit!

Going to the GYM

Lately, even though I skipped today, Ive been going to the gym pretty often. I started going more seriously two months ago, this being my third "serious" month.

I go with a friend, Aron and we work pretty much only calisthenically. Why that way? Well, for me, my spine is not all that straight, and working with heavy weights isnt all that safe for such individuals. So, i mainly work with my own body weight, and a lot of upper body and back, to help straighen my spine as much as possible while I'm still young. I dont wanna have problems later down the line...

Since this blog seems to be all about me reccomending stuff, I gotta say I really reccomend going to the gym, its great and I never feel bad after going, on the contrary I always feel very refreshed and REALLY good!

Some words of advice, try to have an active life even if you dont go to the gym. Practicing a sport or going to the gym isnt necessary to be healthy. but going out at least once a day, like actually outside, not a treadmill is what keeps us humans in a good shape. Drinking lots of water and eating healthy, also.

I used to have such a lifestyle even before going to the gym, but after deleting Tiktok forever and disabling Reels on Instagram, reducing my screentime to about 3-4 hours a day, I needed something to occupy my time with, so I went with gymming!

Other stuffs, not worth starting a chapter over:

• The volunteering thing I was hyping up last blog, it was... fine. Wasnt really all that great, nothing interesting happened sadly, and I cant say I got anything of value from there, unfortunate but its fine!

• Sorry for lying and not having musing recorded by me on the BG, Ill thrive to achieve that until the next blog!

• One of my classmates seems to have started to want to hang out with everyone more often, I really appreciate that, It unifies the class more, bringing back more memories in the future! We went to see a movie together last week!

Michael - 2026 - Musical/film

Really great movie, I went with like 6-7 classmates and we all enjoyed it, I personally got emotional a few times and I gotta admit I learned a lot about Michael Jackson, stuff that I didnt already know or wouldve expected to hear!

Black Clover - 2017-ongoing - Anime

Im currently at episode 30-something and I'm really enjoying it! I havent watched to many other animes like Black Clover before, but man, after finishing it you can be sure I'm watching Naruto next! Afaik the genre is called "shonen" and its low-key funny! People often complain about filler episodes or arcs, but thats like the best part for me! i love worldbuilding!

Your 20s Are Not What You Think They Are ⬅ As much as I enjoy being young and romanticize the teenage years of mine, I cant say im particularly scared of full-scale adulthood, I'm looking positively at it!
