Back to main site 🔙 ; This blog update's PLAYLIST 🎶

Summary:

This month, I'd like to talk about events I took part in, will take part in in the near future, and some things that have been on my mind! 💖

Comic Con!

Last week, the not so long awaited event, (it came really out of the sudden for me) finally happened! My fourth edition of EECC took place.

I cosplayed Ralsei, again! Truth be told, its getting a bit stale but the hype is still alive, Deltarune is not going low anytime soon, and since i Upgraded my cosplay with the so called "fat blunt" its still a really fun cosplay to wear and the reactions from people are basically priceless!

This edition was huge! I heard that just through Friday and Saturday there were over 60.000 tickets sold! and I felt it too... There were extremely many people, and I feel like next year they should definitely expand the area of the con at least by 50%

The place where we stayed thru the weekend was awesome too! it was in a really central area, with easy acces both to bus stations, metro and even various stores and restaurants! It was even close to a nerd-bar called "1Up pub" but we didnt really go there much since we didnt know anyone and it was full anyway...

Something that ive been thinking about the past few days:

So, we all know that throughout the years, the definition of "a valuable person" changes. Or to say it differently, with time, the factors that the masses see as something positive/worthwhile change.

For example, 20-30 years ago, or even more, if you were someone who knew a lot of songs by heart, without needing paper or something like that, you were objectively "cooler" or straight up better than others when it comes to the "fun" point of view. But with the coming and rising of the internet, this skill became obsolete... (sadly in my opinion)

Another, historical example: Back a few millenia, maybe even more, about when writing was invented, the so called intellectuals of those times, are known for stating that writing information down is obsolete, and that it makes knowledge lose its purpose and whatnot. Of course, writing still took off, the same way cars took off (killing horses), computers, phones and the internet (taking various jobs) and seemingly now AI too! (and i'm sure we will come to see many more such aspects in the future)

I was really just kinda reminiscing about this, wondering how the people opposed to these changes felt, like for instance, I never saw writing something down as obsolete, and before thinking about it, I never really thought about the fact that checking lyrics out is just proving my lack of knowledge. On the other hand, when it comes to AI im very much aware and im extremely opposed to it.

To make it clear, I hate AI just as much from an artistic standpoint, as form a social/general AI standpoint, like i just dont agree with it. I am like a cranky old boomer with a Nokia when it comes to AI, I just dont even want to hear about it! We all know what the bad parts of AI are when it comes to art, im not gonna elaborate on that here, what I do want to talk about tho, is something that is mentioned less. The influence of AI on the general non-creative public, "the normal people" "the masses".

It's extremely shit. It fries brains of people, its like, straight rot. When poeple get to the point of needing AI to write an E-Mail, or do some really basic homework, or a project about whatever simple subject, or actually whatever thats meant to teach you something, I'm never going to be on par with it... Lets say hypothetically its something extremely time consuming, hard and youre late, fine then i wont think much of it (hell, i wont think of much of it regardless, its not my business if someone wants to lobotomize their brain), but please, for gods sake, be self sufficient!

I have a memory from about a year and a half ago, around the time I decided im deleting GPT from my phone, I was in an Erasmus project, in Croatia (theres a blog update about it) and I was using GPT to spellckeck every time i was sending a message to a teacher/counselor... After a while, I dont really know how but it just clicked. Am i really that stupid? Can I not write correctly by myself? 18 years of life and 12 of school just to need GePeTe to send a message? really? And then i deleted it

In short, I, really really despise AI, im not on the AI train, I havent used GPT or anything like it in months, and dont plan on doing it anytime ever in my life

The influence of this blog

Ever since I started this blog, the amount of times I felt the need for posting any other place dropped to pretty much zero. Here, I have my sanctuary of memories and pictures, that im never going to lose!

As someone with a not so great memory, and a generally forgetful person, this Blog and my journal are something I will forever cling to dearly, its esentially a time capsule of myself, and the bigger it gets the more value it gains

I can already feel the difference between the last 3-4 blog updates, and my first 10, the quality, the effort. I dont think il ever "redo" those older blog updates, to be able to showcase how big the difference is and how long it took to get to a certain point. To be truthful tho, They used to be in a different format and were slightly adapted either way, so for your information, dear reader, They were even worse than theyre now

Other stuffs, not worth starting a chapter over:

  • Ive made a bunch of new friends the past month, be it just general chatting or EECC related, some shout-outs being Twisted, a fellow beastars fan that I got to know because of their PFP. Buni Is a really sweet person, that I met on a Discord server, played and chatted for a while and then couldn't wait to also meet at EECC. We didnt hang out much but i still aprecciate her dearly! Daredevil, a more recent friend I made, because of a commission I got, the guys super cool and an olive lover (ofc many other sick traits but I just had to mention the olives after finding out about them today)

  • My car's suspension basically gave out, throughout the last week, me and my dad worked on fixing it, it costing us quite the sum... At the moment, its fixxed up and running as new, having replaced springs, telescopes, oil and fuel filters.

  • This is satying between me and my readers, since I feel like some people might not understand the appeal, but ive been roleplaying a lot lately! Im participating in both duo and group roleplays in a RP group thats taking place in the Beastars universe! Its realy fun and actually kinda immersive at times!

•I've been playing guitar quite often again! The electric one. For the next blog I will 100% have some kind of cover I play as BG music! PROMISE
