This month, I want to invite you to my land of my mind, to topics such as music, plans for the future and the summer, and some personal thoughts I've had on my mind the past few days, Enjoy reading! love ya! 💖

Lately, I've been listening to quite a bit of slower paced rock, specifically alternative rock, a genre thats not often manifested these days, but engulfs a bunch of really hight value, very popular artists such as Radiohead, Pearl Jam, The Goo Goo Dolls, obviously Linkin Park and even bands like The Cure or Coldplay...
But, theres a catch to this genre. It's really emotion driven, it being really melancholic at times, generally about love or nostalgia, thus it gets really rather hard (for the singer) to keep the same emotion even after years of succes, an aspect thats actually really well observed with Radiohead! If you watch a video of Creep being played live in 1993 and compare it to something more recent, like 2018 at Tecnópolis, Buenos Aires you can clearly see the difference, in one the feelings are still recent, fresh even, still plagueing Thom Yorke, whilst in 2018, after more than two decades of succes, it's obvious he got over all the self loathing and the sad feeling he had writing the song not even 5 years prior ("late 1980's"). So I suppose we can state that melancholic, alternative rock, is best made by smaller, indie artists? I think pretty much yes!
Refferencing the previous paragrapgh, I'd love to present to you guys an artist I recently discovered, with not even 1.5k monthly listeners on Spotify, Kid Dakota! I have literally discovered them from a fabulous piece of literature (AO3 fanfic) and im low-key wowed by them, I love the style a lot and as I mentioned earlier, its a really recent band, still pretty active to this day! I reccomend you guys check them out, my favorite album from them being "Listen To The Crows As They Take Flight", a few songs from their other albums, such as "Crossing Fingers"
OK, done with the reccomandations another aspect i've been thinking of and wanted to discuss today, is music in other languages. Noticed that all the bands I listed in the first paragraph, are all American or British? I find it a bit sad that music in other languages will never be as popular as in english, due to the well, language factor. Doesn't it make you guys imagine what gems might be hiding behind encrypted words you can't understand? Oh boy I do...
The beautiful mezzo-soprano (G3 to A5 vocal range) voice of Gustavo Cerati of Soda Stereo is what you guys might be listening to right now, if you hit play on the monthly blog playlist up top (you did that, right?) and isnt it so so beautiful? I have not heard any english singer similar to their style! I have no ideea what theyre singing about, but I'm sure its something very beautiful, with song titles such as "treat me gently" and "I'm blue"... My personal favorite is definitely the second song in this playlist, "te Para 3"
Some final words about Spotify, God damn they have the musical industry in a thight grasp... I dont really like their practices. Besides severely underpaying artists, it also manipulates you, the listener. HOW? you might ask, well let me tell you: algorithms.
"Back in the day" if you wanted to listen to music, you would most often listen to a full album, thats how they were sold! Albums had meaning, now people treat them as audiophile extras. And playlists! If you wanted to make a playlist, you better had a spare few hours to buy or pirate your favorite songs, compile a maximum of about an hour of songs and burn them onto a CD! Obviously, today its much much more convenient, but its less authentic. Spotify auto-generating playlists based on your stolen data, and infinitely looping reccomended songs after the playlist I curated is over... Like bro, stop! I dont want to get your (Spotifies) opinion on this!
A consequence of this in my opinion could be the blandness of today's music, each artist needing to appeal to the masses to gain succes (their only shot at making it as an artist being Spotify's recs), and the lack of authenticity of listeners, not giving a flying fuck about their music, or the artist.

As you may have already seen, my langing page got a pretty big overhaul this update, the main things that changed are the sudoku, the new music player, the banner and the new guestbook.
as for the next few updates, im aiming for more polishing and optimisation, for example the sudoku for whatever reason only works on PC, and adding more blinkies and links to neighbouring sites! If you're reading this and would like to become web-neighbours, message me!
also, here are a few ideeas I got for future features:

Currently we can feel winter leaving, day-by-day the temperatures getting hotter, raining less and the sun shining warmer. I cannot wait for what this summer has to offer for me!
Some stuff im definitely manifesting for the future, is volunteering programs (at lest 2-3), festivals (at least 2-3) and a happy ending for my final year of High-schools and a good start to my first year in uni!
When it comes to volunteering, I already secured a project for may, at a music festival called "The Base", im excited and a bit scared, since this would be my first time participating in a volunteer project that's very entertainment based (non-educational if you guys know what i mean)
you guys ever been to any bigger festivals? Me, not so much, but this summer I want to change that! so far ive got my sights on Electric Castle, Summer Well or maybe even Galaxia at Nibiru, and of course, the one im volunteering at, The Base
I'm a bit of a pickle when it comes to Uni, I didnt really factor in the existence of AI when i made my choices, and thinking about it now, I'm a bit unsure again!!! I'll update as soon as i make my mind up 100%, but long story short, i think ill lean towards Human resources - Sociology.

Thanks a lot for reading! this one was a bit longer than usual, XD! and I didn't even touch on everything I planned on... some other facts listed as bullet points that relate to this month's blog update incoming:
